Tour Itinerary

- You will be picked up from your downtown hotel in Xian between 8:00am and 9:00am

- Drive to Banpo Museum (30 mins). Banpo Neolithic Village Museum gets its name from the remains of Banpo village which is located east of Xian. The remains were discovered in 1953. The village was inhabited from about 4500 BC. It is recorded that about 6000 years ago, a village was set up by a late Neolithic people. There were about 500 villagers who lived in the village. Visitors can still see the remains of over 40 houses, over 200 cellars, 6 kilns.

- Afterwards, you are arranged to go shopping at the Qin Terra-cotta figures factory for about 30 minutes. After visiting the factory, move on to Huaqing Hot Spring for one hour. It is famous for both its spring scenery and the romantic love story of Emperor Xuanzong (685-762) and his concubine Yang Guifei in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

-Then move on to Huaqing Pool(1 hour).

-Having a local Chinese lunch

- After lunch, move on to the Terra-cotta Army for a 3-hour visit. This profound discovery made a sensation across the whole world! The museum was officially finished and opened to the public on October 01, National Day, 1979. The exhibition hall of Pit No. 3 was finished and opened to the public on September 27, 1989. Five years later, the exhibition hall of Pit No. 2 was open to the public in October, 1994. The museum and the mausoleum are listed the world’s cultural legacies as the UNESCO.

- Then get to the Shaanxi Grand Opera House around 6:00pm and our tour guide will help you find your seat for the Dumpling dinner within the Opera House. Dumpling, or Jiaozi in Chinese, is one of the most representative Chinese food. Enjoy the jiaozi dinner before and over the Tang Dynasty Show. The Tang Dynasty Show showcases the costumes, music, and dancing of China’s golden age: the Tang dynasty (618 – 907).

- At the end of the day tour, you are transferred back to your downtown hotel in Xian.

-First visit Big Goose Pagoda (with option for interior visit) for one hour. The Big Goose Pagoda is situated in the Da Ci’en Temple, four kilometers south from the center of the city. It is one of the city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today.

-Then you are arranged to go shopping for about 30 minutes at a local special handicraft store on the way to Xian Ancient City. Xian Ancient City Wall has been preserved intact, which is rarely seen in the world. The construction of the Xian City was formally started in the seventh year of Emperor Hongwu’s reign (1374) and completed in the eleventh year of Hongwu’s reign (1378). The rectangular city wall is 13.7 kilometers in circumference and has 5,984 crenels and 98 places for the garrison troops to stay in.

-Having a local lunch

-After lunch, move on to visit Shaanxi Provincial History Museum,which is a large modem museum of the national level(1 hour). Then you will visit Bell Tower and Drum Tower for one hour. In Chinese history from Ming Dynasty, each city had a bell tower and a drum tower. The bell was sounded at dawn and the drum at dusk each day in ancient time, a means of telling time. Xian was not exception. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower of Xi’an date back to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The two are located in the center of the Xian city connecting the four roads from east, south, west and north within the city wall.

-Then visit the Muslim`s quarter( about 40 mins).

-At the end of the day tour, you are transferred back to your downtown hotel in Xian.
